The silent retreat is based on the Spiritual Exercises of St. Ignatius Loyola and is comprised of guided meditations, private reflection, Mass, opportunities for Confession and spiritual direction. The retreat focuses on the gospels and the fullness of the Catholic faith, opening the soul to the transforming power of grace.
There are separate tracks for grade school and high school age sons.

What can I expect to happen on retreat?
You will have guided meditations as well as time for private reflection, daily Mass and the opportunity for Confession & spiritual direction with a Legionary of Christ priest.
Is it hard to be silent the entire weekend?
You will have an opportunity to talk with others at Friday night’s dinner and with a priest during spiritual direction. The silence will provide you with the opportunity to be open to the gentle promptings of the Holy Spirit.
Will I share a bedroom?
The Cheshire, CT facility provides a room with a sink. The bathroom’s are dorm style with shower/bath stalls.
What should I bring?
All linens and meals are provided so come as if you are going to a hotel. Casual clothing is appropriate with a dressier outfit for the final Mass on Sunday. A watch and an alarm clock are helpful to have. Bring your Bible and we will provide a retreat booklet with room for taking notes.
